The Coronado School of the Arts digital arts department brings its 17th annual Horror Nights to the Black Box Theater at Coronado High School on Tuesday, Oct. 27 and Thursday, Oct. 29.

This year's theme is "Myths and Magic: Tales from the Edge of Reality." The show blends ancient folklore with modern horror, The Coronado News reported. Doors open at 6 p.m. each night.

CoSA digital arts students begin building the production at the start of the school year, moving from sketches and brainstorming into storyboarding, filming, animating and digital design, the announcement said.

Tickets cost $10 for adults and $5 for students, staff, seniors and military. They are available at cosasandiego.com or at the door before each performance. The event is recommended for middle school-aged children and older. Concessions will be available for purchase.
