Crews began pavement prep work Tuesday, Sept. 15, in Coronado Village and the Coronado Cays ahead of a slurry seal project scheduled to resurface streets in both neighborhoods.
The City of Coronado announced the project in a public notice. The prep phase includes localized pavement repairs, concrete and gutter work, crack sealing and striping removal. The seal application itself is scheduled for the week of Sept. 28.
A street-by-street schedule has not been released. The city said a detailed timeline will be shared once dates are confirmed. Residents should expect temporary traffic and parking disruptions as work moves through both areas.
Pavement Coatings Co., a California-based contractor, is handling the project. Residents with questions can call the contractor at 714-826-3011 or the city at 619-948-4770.
