A bayfront luncheon on Oct. 13 at Coronado Cays Yacht Club will raise money for artifact preservation and digitization at the Coronado Museum of History and Art.

The Coronado Historical Association (CHA) is hosting its 7th Annual Collections Luncheon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the yacht club, 30 Caribe Cay Blvd. Tickets cost $75 per person, according to the CHA's listing on KPBS. Tables of eight are available for $550 and can be reserved by calling 619-435-7242.

Honorary Chair Art Wilcox will deliver a special address during the event. Guests who do not purchase a table will be seated in open seating.

The luncheon gives attendees a behind-the-scenes look at recent projects in the museum's Collections Department, including digitization efforts and new acquisitions. Guests can explore artifacts pulled directly from the museum's collection while enjoying lunch and views of the bay.

Ticket proceeds go to the Collections Department, which handles preservation and cataloging of Coronado's historical materials. Attendees will also have the chance to contribute through pledge cards or by bidding in a dessert silent auction. CHA volunteers bake and donate the desserts, according to the Coronado Times event listing.

The RSVP deadline is Saturday, Oct. 3. Space is limited.

Residents can call 619-435-7242 or visit coronadohistory.org to reserve seats. The CHA is located at 1100 Orange Ave.
